Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep I am a thousnad winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Jack Tabares who was born in Wyoming on April 2, 1927 and passed away on November 26, 2005. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Jack (daddy) was a very loving man, who loved his family and would do anything for them. He worked as a body and fender man for more than 30 years. Jack has 1 brother, Raymond, who has now passed and 5 sisters, Guadalupe, Mary, Margarita, Angelina and Josefina, which 3 have now also passed. Jack and his wife Judy, raised 8 children, George, Librado, Santos, Judy, Caroline, Steve, Christina and Ruth. Jack has 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Jack has lived in the Wapato area for more than 50 years, his wife Judy, passed away on April 30, 1998. Dad loved to garden, he would plant his vegetables and take care of them like they were his children, and we helped too, but more just liked to eat the veggies. He also loved to work on cars, he had his body shop in Wapato, he would spend hours waiting for a "job" to come in, even when there was little to no business, he was there at 8:00 sharp and didn't return home until 5:00, when it was time for dinner.

Dads favorite food was, enchiladas, or frijoles de la hoya with fresh homemade tortillas. He loved corn on the cob, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions and lettuce, by themselves. His favorite snack, burnt ones, flour tortilla with grated cheese broiled in the oven until slightly burnt on the edge. I remember those days.
